WebAug 12, 2024 · The RCA (Recorded Consultation Assessment) was introduced in lieu of the CSA (Clinical Skills Assessment) due to Covid-19. RCA is currently only available at ST3 level . The RCA consists of 13 pre-recorded consultations carried out by candidates in their surgeries. Cases must be at the level of complexity of an ST3 trainee. WebThe RCGP has kindly suggested that there should be a shared understanding before the patient leaves, and this can be confirmed by asking the patient to summarise what they have understood. All too often, we don’t close the consultation properly. Check in with the patient and see what they’ve taken away from the management plan.
