WebApr 19, 2024 · FYI, no car requires a clutch on downshifts. It can make the car more stable to use the clutch, but a blip can be used even in the road based cars with h-patterns. I do it in everything. Very true, although I find I have to floor the throttle with the MX-5 to get it to downshift without the clutch. 0 William Levesque Feb 16, 2014 #12

WebApr 24, 2024 · Apparently enabling auto blip enables auto clutch as well where as only enabling auto clutch means you have to manually blip. Is this correct ? WebNov 26, 2024 · If you don't know how to H/T, basically you engage the clutch when you lift and brake with your right foot, and when you need to blip hold your toes on the brake pedal and pivot your foot so that you blip the throttle with your heel. It's not easy, but will become natural as you get used to it. Ideally, the revs will match the eventual engine speed as the clutch is fully lifted.
