Web23 dec. 2013 · IF you did try scraping a hardened bed,you'd obviously have to use a carbide scraper,preferably with a biax scraper. The carbide blades are not cheap,and you'd also have to make or invest in the means to sharpen them. Carbide blanks are in fact very cheap. I bought a bunch from Enco for peanuts. I'll use that to take out the major imperfections and then use a carbide scraper and straight edge to do the last bit.
